More information : [ST 47811671] Roman remains found A.D. 1816 & 1860. (1) A skull, and coins etc. were found during quarrying operations A.D. 1816 to 1860. The coins, ranging from Domitian (AD 81) to Constantine (AD 306), were contained in a crock. Pieces of weapons were also found. (2)
