More information : Several dense pieces of iron slag, dark grey with
blow holes and run marks, in 5-10 kg lumps have recently been
found at ST 26430900, and the local farmer has also found slag
at ST 26020878 when taking out a hedge. Other slag has been found
on local hill tops, cf ST 21 SE 8. (It is implied that the
recently found slag is associated with 'Whitestaunton Camp'
ST 20 NE 2, since the first mentioned lot was on its periphery.
The slag recorded on ST 21 SE 8 is supposed to have been Roman).
