This was located on March 13th 1930, "10 yds west of the west fence of the road leading to Portgate Farm". The excavation was confined only to determining its exact position. (2-3)
There are no visible remains. The site is mainly covered by a modern road. (4)
No trace; the site of the turret lies mainly under the modern road; located from measurement in authority 2 to NY 9800 6884. (5)
