MONUMENT NO. 17569

DESCRIPTION + /

Two Roman shrines set up by officers of the First Cohort of Thracians based at Bowes. One is rectangular and dated to the early 3rd century, the other is circular. Fragments of six other shrines and part of a sandstone tablet were found.
