The site of turret 30B is marked by a distinct mound adjoining the south wall of Wade's Road in the field containing Carrowburgh farm-house. It is situated at chained distances, along the line of the Wall, of 539 yards and 529 yards, respectively, from the centres of turret 30a and milecastle 31. The west wall of the turret was located in 1912. (2)
NY 8654 7135 The mound roughly accords with the dimensions of a turret, but is otherwise rather shapeless. It is 0.6m high on the west. No stonework is visible. Surveyed at 1:2500. (3)
The 1966 excavation by R.W.Harris, Durham University, proved inconclusive. Nothing was found at the estimated site. (4)
The turret is situated beneath the modern road, but the S side is visible in the field S of the road at NY 8654 7135 as a turf-covered scarp, 0.5m high. (5)
