| More information : A probable medieval sub-rectangular moat and probable medieval / post medieval bank and field boundaries were identifed as earthworks on historic vertical aerial photography in the Sharoe Green ward, Preston, centred at SD5406 3359. These earthworks are located on the north side of Moss Leach Brook are closely associated, if not contemporary with, the earthworks traditionally associated with Broughton Tower on the other side of the watercourse.These are not extant on the latest 2013 aerial photography.
