More information : Blocks of medieval and /or post medieval ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on recent air photos and on lidar imagery at NY5581 4085. These remains are located in fields around Kirkoswald Castle. Some of the plough furrows appear to cut the outer bank of the castle moat (see UID12421).
