Remains of 1917 wreck of Portuguese cargo vessel which stranded on the beach at Northcott, Bude, while en route from Gibraltar for Newport and/or Barry in ballast. She became a constructive total loss and was thereafter broken up. Some structure is occasionally revealed on the beach at low water spring tides. Constructed of steel in 1890 as a German cargo ship, she was a steam-driven vessel. She was interned in Portugal in the early part of the First World War, before entering Portuguese service.
