Summary : An Iron Age or Roman field system, consisting of two rectilinear enclosures and associated field boundaries, are visible as cropmarks on air photographs. The larger enclosure is rhomboid in plan with a length of up to 91m and a width varying from 58m on the west side to 89m to the east. A secondary enclosure to the south-west is only visible on the north, east and south sides, with a possible entrance visible on the east side. This feature measures 55m by 57m. A number of field boundaries abut these enclosures.
More information : An Iron Age or Roman field system, consisting of two rectilinear enclosures and associated field boundaries, are visible as cropmarks on air photographs, centred at NZ 5785 1207. The larger enclosure is rhomboid in plan with a length of up to 91m and a width varying from 58m on the west side to 89m to the east. A secondary enclosure to the south-west is only visible on the north, east and south sides, with a possible entrance visible on the east side. This feature measures 55m by 57m. A number of field boundaries abut these enclosures.
