Summary : An Iron Age or Roman field system, consisting of two rectilinear enclosures and associated field boundaries, are visible as cropmarks on air photographs. The larger enclosure is rhomboid in plan with a length of up to 91m and a width varying from 58m on the west side to 89m to the east. A secondary enclosure to the south-west is only visible on the north, east and south sides, with a possible entrance visible on the east side. This feature measures 55m by 57m. A number of field boundaries abut these enclosures. |
