UNTHANK HALL

Country house with 16th century origins as a bastle, remodelled and extended in 1815 and 1865, further altered circa 1900 and reduced in size in 1965. The two storey house is stone-built, with slate roofs. The 4 foot thick walling is the only evidence of the bastle.
