MONUMENT NO. 1548631

1405 wreck of craft which was "broken" on the Eddystone, suggesting that the vessel had grounded upon the rock, and subsequently foundered, also evidenced by the dispersal of the wreckage. The mast was picked up at Rame Head and sold at Plymouth. At this period the vessel would have been constructed of wood and powered by sail.
