Summary : The central shaft of the three high crosses in the churchyard of St Mary and All Saints is circa 2.2 metres high with the mutilated remains of the carved central boss of the cross head. The west face depicts an abstract design of the Tree of Life. 10th century. The 10th or 11th century socket stone carries a run of worn dogtooth on the upper face. |
