MILECASTLE 41

DESCRIPTION + /

The site of milecastle 41, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. It survives as turf-covered rubble about 0.5 metres high generally, but up to 1.2 metres high on the east externally; robber trenches are visible and there is a slight depression in the north-east corner.
