Summary : The site of turret 35B, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. The excavation in 1946 showed that the Roman turret had narrow walls and a door to the east. A slight platform at NY 7990 6973 survives 3.8 metres north-west/south-east x 5.5 metres transversely and up to 0.5 metres high. It is partially overlain by Wall tumble and has no internal features. |

Turret 35B is at the top of the ridge before the descent into Busy Gap. (2)
Examination in 1946 indicated that it had been disused during the Roman period. (3)

The turret was located in 1913 (5a). The excavation in 1946 (see authority 3) showed that the turret had narrow walls and a door to the E. A slight platform at NY 7990 6973 survives 3.8m NW/SE x 5.5m transversely and up to 0.5m high. It is partially overlain by Wall tumble and has no internal features. (5)
