Summary : Two seventeen-storey point blocks built as public housing. Each block contains 99 dwellings, providing 198 dwellings in total. Gillinson, Barnett & Partners, Architects, were appointed to supervise the design and construction of the block. Construction was approved by committee in 1963.
More information : The blocks were commissioned by Leeds County Borough Council. The Primary and Alternate addresses are the individual addresses of each tower block; both are current and of equal status. The Alternate Name is the name that was given to the contract for the development. (1) Tersons Ltd.'s tender for this contract was £1,571,121. The contract also incorporated two other seventeen-storey blocks - Marlborough Towers and Holborn Towers. (2)
