Summary : A multi-storey tower block of public housing, rising up to eight-storeys. The block was built as an annexe to the East perimeter block of the Byker Wall and contains 104 dwellings. The Byker Wall constitutes part of a redevelopment area in Byker whereby curving blocks of public housing, envelope and shelter other low-rise public housing. The blocks were designed by Ralph Erskine. Construction was approved by committee in 1972.

The Primary and Alternate addresses of Felton Walk and Byker Crescent are constituent parts of the block that are eight-storeys in height; both are current and of equal status. Other parts of the annexe have fewer than six storeys. The Alternate Name is the name that was given to the contract for the development. (1)

Stanley Millers Ltd.'s tender for the contract was £865,000. It is unknown whether the block contains dwelling types and functions other than council flats. (2)
