Summary : A post medieval field boundary is visible as an earthwork on air photographs. The boundary bank overlays medieval ridge and furrow. The features are not visible on the latest Google.Earth.com 12-SEP-2005 photography (accessed on 09-JUL-2009), but were only visible for mapping under snow coverage as very low relief features so latest condition is uncertain.
More information : A post medieval field boundary is visible as an earthwork on air photographs, centred at SK 1750 7091. The boundary bank overlays medieval ridge and furrow. The features are within the Iron Age hillfort of Fin Cop (UID 309164). The features are not visible on the latest Google.Earth.com 12-SEP-2005 photography (accessed on 09-JUL-2009), but were only visible for mapping under snow coverage as very low relief features so latest condition is uncertain.
