| Summary : The cropmark of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1972. This ring ditch is approximately 47m in diameter. This is one of 16 closely spaced barrows in an area measuring approximately 4 hectares situated near Cuttenham Farm in a field south of the river Avon. Within the outer ditch is a fragment of a smaller ring ditch that may have measured approximately 35m in diameter. This suggests a phased development of this barrow. Lidar has shown that the remains of the mound sit within the outer ditch. |
