Summary : Two probable Second World War anti tank ditches are visible as earthworks on air photographs. These features appear to form part of a large coastal defence system (UID 1476752), including a coastal battery (UID 1425941), an anti aircraft battery (UID 1476726) and a searchlight battery (UID 1476739). Both are partially extant on the latest 1993 Ordnance Survey vertical photography.
More information : Two probable Second World War anti tank ditches are visible as earthworks on air photographs, centred at SD 2999 0204. These features appear to form part of a large coastal defence system (UID 1476752), including a coastal battery (UID 1425941), an anti aircraft battery (UID 1476726) and a searchlight battery (UID 1476739). Both are partially extant on the latest 1993 Ordnance Survey vertical photography.
