Summary : Second World War Type 22 pillbox West of `D' Squadron hangar at Boscombe Down airfield. It is buried in scrub, but intact. This is one of fourteen pillboxes built to defend the airfield, of which ten survive. It differed from the normal Type 22 pillbox in that it was not provided with an anti-ricochet wall.
