PRISONER OF WAR CAMP 255

The site of a Second World War prisoner of war camp at Snettisham, known as Camp 255. This was a work camp for German prisoners, who worked as labourers in the local area. The camp was associated with a Royal Air Force, later United States Army Air Force gunnery range. It could have been in use up until 1948. The camp has since been removed and the site is currently occupied by a caravan park.
