Summary : An area of contiguous Medieval ridge and furrow in the parish of Shipston on Stour has been mapped from aerial photographs by English Heritage's Gloucestershire NMP. The ridges were visible as earthworks in 1947, and still survived in 1972. The fields are part of a much larger extent of ridge and furrow.
More information : SP 2469 3956. An area of contiguous Medieval ridge and furrow in the parish of Shipston on Stour has been mapped from aerial photographs by English Heritage's Gloucestershire NMP. The ridges were visible as earthworks in 1947, and still survived in 1972. The fields cover an area of about 50 hectares, and are part of a much larger extent of ridge and furrow. (1-2)
