Summary : A Second World War prisoner of war camp at Ashton Court, known as Camp 6a. It would have been in use between 1939 and 1948. Two later German work camps at Ashtongate and Bedminster (Camps 124 and 124a) were located nearby. These may have been replacements for this camp or an extension of it. The camp has since been removed.
More information : A Second World War prisoner of war camp at Ashton Court (ST 557 718), known as Camp 6a. A second camp is listed at Ashtongate/Bedminster (Camp 124 and 124a) at ST 52 71, which could possibly be the same camp as this or an extension of it, but renamed and given a new function as a German working camp.
