Summary : Part of a possible Prehistoric or Roman rectilinear enclosure, visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs.
More information : NY 4553 6033. Part of a possible Prehistoric or Roman rectilinear enclosure is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and has been mapped by English Heritage's Hadrian's Wall NMP. The south, west and east sides of the enclosure are defined by a single discontinuous ditch, giving an area at least 43.7 metres long and 25.3 wide. The enclosure is located 17.5 metres to the west of the White Moss Roman temoprary camps (NY 46 SE 17; UID 11626, and NY 46 SE 31; UID 909916). (1-2) Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (3)
