Summary : Rectilinear enclosures of uncertain date are visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken in 2006. To the north there other field boundaries that are marked on the Ordnance Survey map. So these additional enclosures may be medieval or post medieval in date also. Alernatively the enclosures lie adjacent to a potential Roman road and may be related to the road.
More information : Rectilinear enclosures of uncertain date are visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken in 2006, centred on NY 170 582. To the north there other field boundaries that are marked on the Ordnance Survey map. So these additional enclosures may be medieval or post medieval in date also. Alternatively the enclosures lie adjacent to a potential Roman road (see NY 15 NE 16) and may be related to the road.
