MONUMENT NO. 1450097

1395 or earlier wreck of cargo vessel, one of at least two ships laden with "goods and merchandise of great value" reported to Richard II as having stranded on the sands of Cornwall. It was said that he was entitled to the cargo as "wreck of sea" but that it had been concealed from him. Constructed of wood, she would have been a sailing vessel. See also SW 32 NE 257.
