More information : Post Medieval cultivation in the form of narrow ridge and furrow seen within the Roman fort of Birdoswald, centred at NY 6157 6621 and mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hadrian's Wall NMP project. (1)

This post medieval cultivation was mapped to sub-metre accuracy from digital elevation models derived from Structure from Motion of 2017 specialist oblique photography by Historic England on behalf of the English Heritage Trust's 'Hadrian's Wall: Birdoswald Sector Survey'. This is included within the main record for Birdoswald fort (13993).
