Summary : Post medieval tramway is visible as earthworks on air photographs. Two parallel east-west curving tramways, seen as broad banks, lie on the the north bank of the River Tyne. The extension to the one of the tramways turns north towards a disused coal mine. The tramways lie on top of medieval ridge and furrow.
