Summary : The tomb of the Rev. John Adey Pratt who died in 1867, is located near the main entrance in Arnos Vale Cemetery. The tomb comprises a marble obelisk on a square pedestal which is on a stepped base and signed Tyley, Bristol. The main inscription is on the north side; the east side has a relief of a seated man instructing a group of children; a celestial ray, to which the figure gestures, beams down divine inspiration. Adey Pratt was the pastor of the Kingsland Chapel in Bristol, and this monument was erected by Sunday Schools of the City |
