Location :
Lincolnshire

Asgarby and Howell
Grid Ref : TF1359046240
Summary : A Medieval and / or Post Medieval settlement site and associated ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 2003. The site comprises a group of raised rectilinear probable building plots or tofts that are each separated by an irregular grid pattern of hollow ways, plus four partial blocks of ridge and furrow cultivation which are dispersed around the current settlement of Howell. They probably represent earlier phases in the settlement of Howell, and as such should be considered together with Howell Hall (TF 14 NW 9).
