Summary : 1488 wreck of English cargo vessel which was lost in Hungroad [although one source states that she was lost in Kingroad]; a wooden sailing vessel.
More information : 1487. 'A great ship called the ANTHONY of Bristow was lost in Hungrode by default of the master.' (1) 1488. 'This yere a great ship called the ANTHONY of Bristowe was lost at Kingrode, in defaut of the master of the same ship.' (2) NB: Source (1) is consistently dated according to the Old Style calendar, source (2) according to the New Style calendar. For consistency throughout the Maritime record, New Style is followed, since this is the basis of modern reckoning. Date of Loss Qualifier: Approximate date of loss
