| Summary : A Second World War pillbox situated at the south-western corner of RAF Coltishall. The south-facing pillbox was built of concrete or concrete rendered and was constructed during the period 1940 to 1941. It formed part of the southern perimeter defences of RAF Coltishall. The round pillbox was strengthened by extra layer of concrete below the embrasures. In 1994 it was holding a modern sangar on its roof. It is located in the corner of a bomb dump and was in 1994 painted grey/green. At the time of a field visit in February 1994 the site was in good condition. |
