More information : Excavation at West Parade, Motherby Hill, located the west wall of the Roman colonia. An interval tower was added internally after the construction of the wall and partially demolished in the 4th century. A large stone wall was built to the south of the interval tower in the 4th century. A postern gate was cut through the wall in the mediaeval period. The section has been reburied and is scheduled.
