Summary : Landscape park to Lullingstone Castle, created from a Medieval deer park possibly enclosed in 1368, during the mid to late 18th century by Sir Thomas Dyke and Sir John Dixon Dyke. By the 1670s the gardens comprised a series of formal enclosures. These were restored during the 18th century but were later replaced with informal pleasure grounds and gardens.The kitchen garden contains a Tudor style herb garden designed by Eleanour Sinclair Rohde in 1946.
More information : Landscape park created from a Medieval deer park, possibly enclosed in 1368, during the mid to late 18th century by Sir Thomas Dyke and Sir John Dixon Dyke. By the 1670s the garden was documented as comprising a number of formal enclosures. These gardens were restored during the 18th century but have been replaced with informal pleasure grounds and gardens during the 19th century.
