Summary : The site of Turf Wall Roman turret 50A (TW). There are no surface remains.
More information : (NY 6023 6569) Turret (R) (Site of) (1) Turret 50A TW was located in 1934, 507 yds west of Milecastle 50 TW, which was found in 1933. It was built of stone about 20' sq externally, and was dismantled when the stone wall was built. (2-3) No visible remains. (4) There is no surface trace of the turret; OS position at NY 6027 6569 accepted. (5) Scheduled (6) Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (7)
