Summary : An officers' mess, officers' quarters and wardroom, built in 1931 at HMS Daedalus, the former military airfield at Lee on-the-Solent. It has three storeys, of brick with stone quoins and a mock Tudor half timbered effect wing. Although for most of its existence it was actually used by the Royal Navy, the building was constructed at a time when the base was under the control of the Royal Air Force and had become Coastal Area Headquarters.
