THE OLD HALL

Mainly circa 1700 in date, with a medieval wing to the north west. The house is two storeyed and stone-built with pantiled roofs and a small, square sundial set above the front door. The ground floor walls of the medieval wing are 1.5 metres thick and the lower floor has a barrel-vaulted ceiling. This building may have originated as a fortified house or pele tower.
