Summary : The site of a destroyed pillbox near the former RAF High Ercall airfield. The pillbox was situated by a lane leading north from the village of High Ercall to the former RAF station. It is said to have been built of brick and concrete with a corrugated iron roof. It was destroyed by 1996.
More information : A destroyed pillbox associated with RAF High Ercall, Ercall Magna, Shropshire SJ 595 176. The pillbox was situated by a lane leading north from "the village" (presumably High Ercall is meant) to the former RAF station. It is said to have been built of brick and concrete with a corrugated iron roof. It had been destroyed by 1996. (1)
