The site of a destroyed World War Two pillbox at the former RAF High Ercall military airfield. The brick pillbox was one of a number surrounding the airfield, probably built in 1940-1941. This example was located on Cotwall Road leading to the village of Ercall Magna (High Ercall). It was said to have been disguised as a garden shed. Its destruction was noted in 1996.
