Summary : The remains of Downham lime kiln and associated lime yard. It is a single pot flare or draw type kiln, used to burn limestone and is situated at the rear of a stone-walled lime yard which was used for storage. An arched opening gives access to the draw hole with a rounded stack above, containing the charge hole, now largely infilled.
