A hired trawler converted to a minesweeper which hit a mine laid by UC-5 on 19-NOV-1915. She landed on top of the ANGLIA wreck, but a gale later moved her from this position. (4)

'This same minefield [which had caused the loss of the ANGLIA on 17-NOV-1915] was responsible for the loss of three other vessels, one of which was the trawler FALMOUTH III, Lieutenant H Beadle, DSC, RNR, which actually sank on top of the wreck of the ANGLIA and remained there for several days until dislodged by a gale.
'Two young RNR officers were learning their minesweeping duties under Lieutenant Beadle's instructions. One of them...was drowned...The other...suffered so severely from shock that he was unfit for service at sea for about three months...' (9)
