Summary : 1915 wreck of a British trawler which foundered off Dover after detonating a mine while on Admiralty service as a minesweeper. Constructed of steel in 1909, she was originally a steam fishing vessel in her civilian incarnation before being hired for war service. Her possible remains may be those recorded at TR 33 SW 23 / 901784. She is said to have foundered immediately on top of the ANGLIA hospital ship, before being dislodged some days later by a gale: for the remains of the ANGLIA, which have been positively identified, see TR 33 SW 25 / 901788.
More information : 'Hired by the Royal Navy as an armed trawler in 1915, her previous owners having been the Western Steam Trawling Co. Ltd., the vessel registered at Bristol.' (1)
