Summary : A garage for a fire tender and aero-engine starter vehicles at RAF Bicester technical site. The aero engine-starter vehicles were known as "Hucks Starters". The garage was built in 1929. It is a small weatherboarded building with a gabled roof. It was among the buildings considered for inclusion in a possible conservation area at RAF Bicester, mentioned in an English Heritage report produced in May 2003.
More information : An English Heritage report produced in May 2003 suggested that "Building 202" the "Hucks Starter Shelter" could be included in a putative conservation area at RAF Bicester. The report describes the building as "a small weatherboarded building for the station's fire tender and aero-engine starter vehicles". It notes that the building was constructed in 1929. (1)
