More information : An English Heritage Report produced in May 2003 recommended that the water tower at RAF Bicester be considered for potential Brade II Listed Building status. (This is building 84 in the building numbering scheme current at the site between 2000-2003). it describes the water tower , built in 1926 as "built of reinforced concrete and 50 foot high, for the supply of water to the entire site. A prominent feature". (1)
On plan SP 5824 and SP 5924 the water tower is labelled as "Tank" at SP 5909 2453. (2) |
