Summary : A Second World War extant pillbox, of variant type, designed for use at RAF Bicester. The reinforced concrete pillbox is said to have been built between 1940-1941 and formed part of the airfield ground defences.
More information : The Defence of Britain database catalogue notes an extant variant type of pillbox located at SP 5923 2459, designed for use at RAF Bicester, Oxfordshire. It is constructed of reinforced concrete and was said to have been built in the period 1940-1941. The Defence of Britain recorder was Paul Francis. (1)
