Summary : A battle heaquarters associated with RAF Bicester, allegedly constructed between 1940-1941. The pillbox like construction was part of the RAF Bicester defences.
More information : The Defence of Britain Database entry lists the Battle Headquarters as Battle headquarters, RAF Bicester, Oxfordshire, SP 595 245, WW2 period, "construction in the period 1940-1941". The source seems to suggest that the battle heaquarters took the form of a pillbox in front of the Watch Office (control tower). the source of the information was a field visit made presumably between 1996-2003 by the Defence of Britain recorder Mike Osborne.
