Summary : An early 19th century house, extensively modernized in the late 20th century, which is constructed from brick, pebbledashedand colour-washed, with a pantiled roof. It comprises single storey, single-bay wing to the left with a taller single bay to the rear, and a two storey, two bay range to the right. The house was one of a series of small houses Gothicised or built in the Gothic style by the Sykes family of West Ella Hall in the early-mid 19th century.
