Summary : The faint cropmark trace of part of the Roman road from Richborough to Canterbury. This section of the road was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Richborough Environs Project.
More information : The cropmark faint traces of a linear feature c. 73m in length situated to the west of Castle Farm which is almost certainly the remains of the Roman road leading out of the Roman vicus associated with the Roman fort of Richborough towards Fleet Farm and beyond to Canterbury. The feature was visible as a cropmark on recent aerial photographs. This site was mapped at 1:2500 scale as part of the English Heritage: Richborough Environs Project. (1)
