Summary : Sleeping shelter at RAF Cranage constructed during the Second World War to provide night time accomodation for up to 22 airmen. It is constructed of brick and cement and measures 12.8 metres long by 3.6 metres wide with an entrance at the northern end. The building was protected by an external blast wall which has been removed. Foundations of the blast wall can be seen at the southern end of the building. Internally there were eleven cubicles, each housing two wooden bunk beds, separated by brick partitions and located on either side of a central passageway.
