Summary : A section of Roman road was seen as cropmarks on air photographs. The road runs perpendicular to RRX 122 (Linear 681) and lies just to the west of Kirkbride Fort. This section does not align along the proposed Roman road RR 869 (Linear 305) which is supposed to lead to the fort at Drumburgh. (1)
More information : A section of Roman road was seen as cropmarks on air photographs. The road runs perpendicular to RRX 122 (Linear 681) and lies just to the west of Kirkbride Fort. The section of road visible on the photographs is approximately 120m long and is centred at NY 2335 5725. This section does not align along the proposed Roman road RR 869 (Linear 305) which is supposed to lead to the fort at Drumburgh. (1)
