Summary : Two small earthern mounds lie at the foot of a natural slope to the south of a large round barrow. One at SX57405999 measures 4m by 2.8m and a maximum of 0.4m high. The second at SX57395999 is 2.8m in diameter and up to 0.4m high. They appear to be composed of growan and china-clay spoil and seem to be of no great age. |
More information : Two small barrows, each about 5m in diameter and 0.5m high lie 20m south of the large barrow (SX56SE121). Their position below a possibly man-made scarp to the north makes certain identification as prehistoric difficult. (1)
